ACADEMIC Publications

This list shows my main scholarly and popular publications on archaeology from 1984 to 2003, when I began to concentrate on novel-writing full-time. The cut-off date for this list is a little misleading as I've actually published almost as much non-fiction since 2003 as I did before that date, in the chapter-length 'Author's Note' at the end of each of my ten novels - now adding up to more than 80,000 words - in which I discuss the archaeological and historical backdrop. Over the next period the list will be augmented by interim reports on new field projects as well as by several non-fiction books currently in preparation.
